Trouble Receiving Email? ISPs Blocking Mail Ports

Recently, customers using DynIP with their mail servers reported experiencing problems receiving incoming email messages although they could still send email. Some high-speed ISP's have started to block incoming mail requests on port 25 the standard SMTP port (used for incoming and outgoing mail) in an attempt to reduce the overall impact of spam or viruses on their networks.

With DynIP’s Mail Redirection service you can easily reroute mail requests from port 25 to a ‘non-standard’ port like 26 or 2500. Mail redirection is part of our Email SafeguardTM service included with the DynIP Enterprise package.
